🚨 Arctic Cold Front Incoming – Stay Prepared, Jarrell! ❄️

A strong arctic cold front is pushing through Williamson County this afternoon, bringing gusty winds, a chance of rain, and much colder temperatures. While the precipitation chances decrease after the front moves through, cold temperatures will be the biggest concern throughout the remainder of the week.

🔹 Cold Weather Advisory: Midnight tonight through Thursday morning
🔹 Extreme Cold Warning: Late Wednesday evening through Thursday morning

🌡️ What to Expect:
➡️ Highs: Struggling to reach 40°F on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
➡️ Lows: High teens to low 20s Wednesday and Thursday with wind chills in the single digits
➡️ Winds: Gusting 30+ MPH this evening through Thursday, decreasing into the weekend
➡️ Weekend Lows: At or below freezing Friday–Sunday

🔥 Stay Safe & Remember the 4 P’s:
🛑 People – Check on elderly neighbors, shelter pets indoors, and limit time outside
🛑 Pipes – Protect outdoor faucets, wrap exposed pipes, and let indoor faucets drip
🛑 Plants – Bring potted plants inside or cover outdoor plants
🛑 Pets – Keep pets indoors or provide a warm, dry shelter

🧥 Dress for the Weather! (According to weather.gov/safety)
🥶 Chilly (45-32°F) – Light layers, hat, and gloves recommended
🥶 Cold (32-15°F) – Heavy coat, hat, gloves, scarf, and warm shoes/boots
🥶 Extreme Cold (Below 15°F) – Multiple warm layers, insulated coat, face covering, gloves, and thermal socks
