As of Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the National Weather Service has issued the following for our area:
• Winter Storm Warning: In effect until 6:00 PM CST today.
• Cold Weather Advisory: In effect until 12:00 PM CST Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Current Conditions:
• Temperature: Upper 20s°F.
• Roads: Slick and hazardous due to recent snow and ice.
Forecast:
• Today: Becoming sunny by noon with temperatures rising between 30°F and 38°F, promoting melting.
• Tonight: Coldest temperatures expected, ranging between 15°F and 18°F.
• Thursday Night: Freeze expected with temperatures in the 20s°F.
• Friday Afternoon: Warmer temperatures anticipated, reaching the 60s°F.
City Operations:
• City Hall: Will resume normal operations tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

• Travel: Exercise caution on roads, allow extra time for commuting, and avoid unnecessary travel.

🌨️ Updated Weather Alert – Winter Storm Warning in Effect ❄️
Dear Jarrell Residents,
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Williamson County, including the City of Jarrell, effective from 6:00 PM CST Monday, January 20, 2025, until 6:00 PM CST Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
There is now a 70% chance of snow and sleet starting Monday evening through Tuesday morning, with possible accumulations of up to an inch. These conditions are expected to make travel hazardous, so we urge all residents to take extra precautions and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.
In addition, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 12:00 PM CST Wednesday, January 22, 2025, as freezing temperatures are expected to persist.
In light of these conditions, City Hall and Jarrell ISD will remain closed on Tuesday, following the lead of Williamson County offices and other neighboring cities. This decision is made to ensure the safety of our employees, students, and residents.
