UPDATE - OCTOBER 22, 2024 - THE BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN RESCINDED. YOU NO LONGER NEED TO BOIL YOUR WATER.
PUBLIC WORKS BOIL WATER NOTICE - OCTOBER 20, 2024 - 4:50 P.M.
This morning around 7:30 AM, the City of Jarrell received several reports of low water pressure (15-20 psi) from residents on the following streets:
- Man O War Drive
- Seabiscuit Drive
- Citation Drive
- Affirmed Way
- Seattle Slew Drive
Jarrell-Schwertner Water Supply Corporation (JSWSC) identified and repaired a main break in their system, restoring water to most areas. However, pressure remained low at Calumet, around 10 psi. Crews extended their search area and opened two valves at FM 487/CR 306, which were previously closed.
City staff, along with Crossroads, have been on site assisting. It is important to note that the issue is not in a city-owned water line. Pressure has now been fully restored. We will be sending water samples to the lab, and we expect to lift the boil water notice by Tuesday morning.
Thank you for your patience!
